Hashtags are everywhere now and some people seem a little too excited about it. I was showed a post that looked like this.. #longhairdontcare #selfie #fridaynightout #danceallnight #dressup #makeup #longlegs #foodporn #pizza or whatever. Yea.. calm down people. It is crazy how this culture started and everyone seems to be infected with it these days. I personally don’t understand or see the point of hashtags. Just to understand it a little better, I actually googled the origins of hashtag. Chris Messina, a social technology expert, is credited to have come up with the very first hashtag on Twitter. The purpose of hashtag was to gather discussions and online exchanges but I am not too sure whether that’s still the case. People just freaking hashtag every word with a photo of themselves.

To go in line with the current culture, here is my attempt.

Image#Fridaynightout #beachthemedparty

 #Thebookclub #drinkanddance?

#wakeupdontcare #selfie

So… I don’t think hashtags are quite for me. If it works for you, why not I guess. Whatever flows your boat.
